OPEN MARKET SHOW
New show procedure and rules in effect for 2007
Monday, July 9, 2007 – 9:00 AM
NO SATURDAY WEIGH-IN
The open hog show will be operating under a “Declare your Weight” rules for 2007.* (Scales will be available for participants not knowing their hog’s weight & wish to weigh for verification purposes.) (Sunday Evening)
Exhibitors must declare weight of hog upon completing entry form.
Hogs do not need to be on site to enter Open Hog show until 7:00am Monday morning- If needing to verify weight then hog must be on site Sunday evening. – 10 lb variance allowed.
Scales will be available for hogs needing to verify weight before show day, if needed.
Sunday Evening – 4:00 – 8:00 – “Optional –(If not sending hog to market)
Hogs declaring weight for open show and needing weight tickets for producers, will be weighed immediately upon release from show ring. Weighing will be done by Producers.
Exhibitors may bring hogs in anytime starting Friday evening.
We reserve the right to weigh any hogs placing from each class. Weigh back top two each class.
Exhibitors take note: Be sure your hog is entered in the correct class. This will avoid re-weigh time. Hogs exceeding the weight limits will be declared ineligible and next hog in line will be added to the top two placing.
ENTRY DEADLINE Sunday evening July 7, 9:00 PM
ENTRY FEE: $10.00 per head. collected at fair office.
ABSOLUTLY NO ENTRIES TAKEN AFTER 9:00 pm DEADLINE SUNDAY EVENING.
All Exhibitors must pay general admission or buy a season pass.
Entry fees will be collected at the fair office.
Entries can be taken any time, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Complete information including, name, address, phone number, MUST be completed on entry form and fee collected, or exhibitor will not be eligible to compete in Hog Show.
NO PENS ARE RESERVED BY ANYONE FOR OPEN SHOW
Pens, aisles, and adjacent ares are to be cleaned daily or as needed.
NO STRAW is to be used for bedding. Wood shavings are the only acceptable bedding to be used. No exceptions.
Feeders may be used if attached by plastic ties only. NO WIRE.
All pens must be cleaned before any checks can be picked up.
Pens not cleaned will be charged a $50.00 cleaning fee, to be paid by exhibitor.
Livestock waste and shavings are to be dumped in manure pit, not ouside of pit.
Once livestock us unloaded, all trucks and trailers are to be parked in designated area. (south infield)
Entries are released immediatley after show.
VIOLATIONS OF ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE FORFEITURE AND/OR PREMIUMS AND AWARDS AS WELL AS BARRED FROM FUTRE COMPETITIONS.
